A respected artist and documentary photographer, Schoenfeld's photographs are sold by numerous galleries throughout the United States including the Artseal Gallery in San Francisco, the Fraser Gallery in Washington, DC, The Don O'Melveny Gallery in Los Angeles and the BGH Gallery in Santa Monica's Bergamot Station. Among his recent collector clients is the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission.
Oscar winning Don Rogers, Executive Vice President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) has said "Wayne Schoenfeld is an amazing talent, an exceptional man with a remarkably eclectic background... always fascinated with new ideas and concepts, he is an artist's artist." Schoenfeld has been a highly respected psychotherapist, an airline pilot, a corporate executive and entrepreneur, artist and philanthropist.
Today, he focuses his creative energies on photography. Selected portraits and fine art nudes from his collection were on exhibition in the 1999 show "L.A.'s BEST PHOTOGRAPHERS." His photo reporting of the Cannes Film Festival has appeared in the Hollywood Reporter.
His portraits of Hollywood luminaries have appeared in a variety of motion picture industry publications including Screen International and Film Journal International. He has taken production and promotional photos for Los Angeles stage productions including "Shadow of the Gunman," and the very successful "Bare."
He has published two collections: "Brittle Glory: The Face of Change" a collection of intimate street portraits taken in Cuba and Turkey and "Surface Tension" a collection of portraits and impressions of the female form.
Recently, his work has also appeared in the edited collection by well known photographer, Joyce Tenneson, "Exhalations," published by SWC Editions.
